An emerging trend in the Administrative field has seen Secretaries, PAs and Administrators assume more responsibilities that have traditionally been classified as ‘management' tasks.

Being a Professional Office Administrator is not for the faint-hearted! Gone are the days where your workplace success was based solely on your performance. Your effectiveness as a Professional Office Administrator is reflected by the example you set for staff, the quality of work they produce, and the degree to which your office runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis. In addition, you are required to manage relationships with suppliers and co-workers, exercising your influencing abilities in a subtle way to make sure that helping you out is always high on their priority list.

This two-day course has been designed to enable administrators to enhance their personal effectiveness and working practices, build stronger relationships, broaden their contribution to the team and achieve excellence in the service they provide to colleagues and customers, and to enhance their career.

There will be a combination of instructional methods employed in this course. The course uses engaging facilitated discussion techniques followed by individual, class or group exercises, games, brainstorming and role plays. All these are designed to illustrate the theory and its application to pragmatic problems.

Module 4: Practical Tips for Dealing with the Challenges facing Office Professionals

  • - An Introduction to Problem Solving and Decision Making

Trainer's Profile
Majoring in mechanical engineering, a self made man with previous association with the oil and gas industry. Mr. Karthigesu V Chinnasamy ( Karthig ) started his career as a Piping Draftsman, and worked his way up through sheer dedication and commitment. He was a Project Manager, with one of the biggest and international, fire and security Company in the world. He was also involved in the two biggest projects in Malaysian history, namely the KLCC and the KLIA projects.

This valuable real time working experience of 12 years, at various levels and disciplines, had given him the cutting edge advantage of understanding the needs of a wide spectrum of participants. These create the conducive and comfortable environment for sharing of experience, knowledge and ultimately, pave the way for efficient learning for the participants. In total, he has more than 18 years of training experience..

Having a warm and friendly personality, and dubbed with his dynamic personality, he is also very well known to bring fun, laughter and excitement into the class, for a lively, enjoyable and memorable experience. Catering to the needs of the Malay speaking crowd, he is very fluent in his written and spoken Malay.

He is a registered member of Malaysian Society for Occupational Safety and Health. He is also a registered Trainer for PSMB in the TTT (Train-The-Trainer) program conducted all over Malaysia. He is also the regular trainer for the various programs for the Royal Malaysian Navy. He has trained more than 500++ naval personnel. Other companies and organisation that have benefitted from his programmes are Malaysia Airports Berhad, Malaysian Airlines System, Optimal Group of Companies, Telekom Berhad, TNB, Maxis, MAA and many more
