The Student Affairs Department is one of the important departments in the organisational structure. It offers various services to students. The importance of Student Affairs Department becomes more obvious after the existence of rules and regulations Act 174 or Akta Institusi Pelajaran (Tatatertib) 1976.

Student affairs staffs are responsible for academic advising and support services delivery at colleges and universities, developing programs and researching techniques that benefit all students as a whole, incorporate the issues of diversity into their everyday tasks and work with an array of students in such areas as campus activities, counselling, resources, etc. This department, like others within the higher education system, seeks to serve the needs of the student.

In this training programme, participants will benefit establishing good ties with students in a college or university. It will look into various issues to enhance and improve student affairs management in order to maintain a high level of quality management. Participants will be able to identify all areas of responsibility and concern in maintaining the student population.

Trainer's Profile
Rajeswary Sivaramakrishnan has over 8 years of experience in the education field. She has been a freelance trainer for almost 5 years mainly involved in conference and training courses for various skills development programmes, education based training, language and communication programmes for Oil and Gas, IT consultancies, Manufacturing Industries and Educational Institutes.

Rajeswary has also served first hand as a Lecturer and then moved on as Head of Department coordinating Diploma and External programmes at private colleges. Currently, she spearheads an education consultancy specialised in servicing and recruiting international students. She hails from the prestigious Limkokwing University, holding a Diploma in Mass Communication and an honourable B.A in Mass Communication majoring in Journalism and Film and Television from Curtin University of Technology, Perth, Australia. Her current profession also includes lecturing at private colleges and tutoring International students for IGCSE, TOEFL and SAT at Raffles Revolusi - Millennium Education, a company that provides niche training for exam oriented students.She offers counseling to students who fall out on results and advise for better performance.

Her method of training is very practical and flexible, customising each training session for the needs of the organization and relevant audience. As a practical trainer, she is committed to communicate effectively and motivate clients in enhancing knowledge to suit environmental changes in the workforce. Her aim is to provide continuous quality and excellence in being a dedicated and professional trainer.
